What a rush! After months of preparation, I am hitting the Pacific Crest Trail today. It feels surreal that it's here.

The dream is years old, but it's been almost a year since I decided 2023 was my year. Since then I have quit my job, saved (what I hope is) enough money, battled an on-and-off foot injury, trained (ish), gathered my gear, watched the snowpack grow and melt, and shipped myself a few weeks of food.

I am so excited to head off. I'm making this disorganized post just to share some of the moments from the pre-trip experience.
